This candle mold makes a Pie Slice. (total wax weight is 5 ounces, It is 4 inches wide, 4 1/2 inches from the back to the tip, and 1 7/16 deep, depending on how you fill it, about a 6th of a 9 inch pie) Now for the good part, This mold is so easy to use!!! Folks! I told hubby I wanted a SIMPLE, easy to use pie slice mold that didn't take six feet and four hands to pour, and hubby being a SIMPLE man, came up with it. (hubby says just in case there is someone out there simpler than him, he'll include some SIMPLE instructions) This mold is so easy to use!!! No tip this way, No tilt thay way, No stand on your head and hold you mouth just right (but you can twist and shout if you want to). The crust, the filling and the top crust (if desired) are all poured in the same mold. The picture shows it both ways. This is a gotta have mold!!!! It is made from polyurethane rubber (similar to silicone, only we think they are more durable and last longer). No mold release agent is needed, but can be used if desired. The temperature of what you are pouring should be a maximum of 200 degrees. These will stand up to repeated use (we have used molds made from this material almost everyday for 3 years and they still work great, no tears, no cracks, just like new). This mold is a great time saver and very economical because of the number of repeated uses it provides. PLEASE NOTE: We have purchased and are now using equipment that makes our urethane molds practically bubble free. Why? Because removing the entrapped air creates a more dense mold that is stronger, lasts longer and more resistant to tearing, but the best part is the finished product comes out of the mold smoother, shinier and without all the "pits" (they look like pin pricks) that are usually seen in silicone and urethane molded candles. This creates an added step and expense for us (most mold makers don't do this), but we want to offer "top of the line" molds. We think you will be surprised at the improved look of your finished product.
Now for the part we never wanted to include. This mold is our own design and is copyrighted! You may use it to make as many goodies with as you like, but the mold itself can not be copied.
